BOO.

Have bought LOTS of makeup & skincare items recently and I've been loving them all! Shall slowly talk about them one by one!

Today's "featured" product is Bio-Oil!

What's written at the back of the box?
Bio-Oil is a specialist skincare product formulated to help improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. Its unique formulation, which contains the breakthrough PurCellin Oil, is also highly effective for ageing and dehydrated skin.

PurCellin Oil
PurCellin Oil reduces the thickness of the Bio-Oil formulation and makes it easily absorbed.

Scars
Helps improve the appearance of both new and old scars.

Stretch Marks
Formulated to help reduce the possibility of stretch marks forming during pregnancy, teenage growth spurts and rapid weight gain. Helps improve the appearance of existing stretch marks.

Uneven Skin Tone
Helps improve the appearance of pigmentation marks and blemishes caused by hormonal fluctuations, skin lighteners or excessive sun exposure.

Ageing Skin
Helps smooth and tone ageing, sagging and wrinkled skin on both the face and body.

Dehydrated Skin
Helps replenish the skin's natural oils stripped away by factors such as extreme weather, water with high chemical content, frequent bathing and the drying effects of central heating or air conditioning.

Daily Skincare
- Specialist intensive moisturizer
- Soothing after-sun treatment
- Ideal as a bath oil
~ Vitamins A & E
~ Calendula, Lavender, Rosemary & Chamomile Oils
~ Face & Body
~ Non-greasy
~ Rapidly absorbed
~ Hypoallergenic

Cute little bottle with the pink Bio-Oil in it!

I am only going to experiment with the 'Scars' & 'Dehydrated Skin' sections of its claims because these are the most obvious imperfections I have on my legs.

Scaled these photos down on purpose so you don't lose your appetite! (Click-able thumbnails! If you are really THAT interested.)

Before application.

A very big patch of dehydrated skin on my leg. You can obviously see dry, flaky skin!

After application.

The dry, flaky skin is moisturized! And still moisturized after a few hours. Skin condition looks better eh?

The most '3D' scar that I have on my knee LOL.

I don't think I need to show a 'Before & After' comparison for this because it just looks the same. We shall wait (3 months) and see!

So today morning was my first time using Bio-Oil. First thing I noticed was the floral scent, probably because it contains Calendula, Lavender, Rosemary & Chamomile Oils. The scent is not overwhelming, and it goes away after a while.

I wouldn't say it's 100% non-greasy because my dehydrated patch of skin still feels a little greasy even after about 5 hours since application, which gives me a feeling that the oil isn't fully absorbed. Either that, or my dehydrated skin is rejecting Bio-Oil (LOL) because my Nivea Moisturizer does get absorbed.

However, my 3D scar is showing different (I wouldn't call it 'results' since I am told to apply twice a day for a minimum of 3 months) reactions. The scar area isn't as greasy as the dehydrated area. Either the oil has been absorbed or I've accidentally rubbed the oil away!

Okay this is my first experience with Bio-Oil. Since I need probably 3 months before I see results, I will not be updating on this too frequently. Maybe once every 2 weeks or 1 month! I think I sound skeptical about this product but I'm actually having high hopes for it. I'm expecting it to work!

Happy International Women's Day!

Happy International Women's Day!

Whipped out the reddest lipstick that I had and put it on because I'm answering Michelle Phan's call to #RockTheLips! Hahaha.

I actually cleaned it off right after I snapped the photo because 1) I'm already at home & not going anywhere else for the night + I'm actually about to have my dinner and 2) I cannot wear red lipsticks because my teeth are naturally yellowish (yes the dentist said so) and bright red enhances the yellowish tone.

Sometimes even too bright a pink will enhance my teeth's color. That's why I'm currently still in search of a light yet obvious pink that can do magic for me!

Shall do an entry on lipsticks after I buy one next week! (YES I'M AIMING ONE AGAIN! LOL)

So you seldom see me posing for photos like :D Most of the time it's (: And to be honest I think I look better :)-ing that :D-ing hahaha.

Anyways, a little update on what I've been doing since exams ended.

Met up with the loves for dinner and treated them to bubble tea on Friday (right after exams) in celebration of the end of my examinations!

Shopped with them and bought some stuff which I will post them up soon! Today, it's a pure personal entry!

Started work on Monday. Didn't want to work but my mother's office was kinda shorthanded. So off I went for extra cash for the holidays! Kinda regretted it because the job was boring. Feels like I'm wasting away my holidays although people call it waste only when you slack your holidays away instead =/ Ending on next Tuesday though! ^^

Celebrated my little cousin's 4th birthday on Tuesday!

Wednesday was a full day of work work work.

Because there was some seminar/workshop for the staff there and I got to benefit from it!

Tomorrow's Friday already! It's gonna be officially a week since exams ended. Time really flies eh? Can't wait for my results! I want to know that my hard work paid off!

Lastly, gonna meet the loves again tomorrow!

BOO.

Finally done with adding a 'Labels' section to this blog! Took me quite awhile because I'm still using the classic blogger template so I had to do it manually.

Now visitors can search by types of products or brands!

Finally.
Saturday 3 March 2012
BOO.

Exam has officially ended for me and it's time for the holidays!

I'm actually really very tired right now because of the lack of sleep for the past 2-3 weeks, but I felt that I had to do a reflection kinda blog entry. If I don't do it today, I'll lose the 'feel' for it and this entry shall never exist. So, I'm typing this while lying in bed with my eyes 3/4 closed.

Overall, the 4 papers I had this semester weren't that difficult. But it seems like it only applies to me and a few others among my friends. Figured that it might be because I started studying quite early this time round. I had to, because I can't afford to fail again. Literally. Oh and I have one more modules than others. Yeah.

I have the "no problem I'll pass for sure!" feeling this time and I think I can trust this feeling. Because last semester's feeling was "if I can pass both HR and marketing, I be vegetarian for a month". In the end, I managed to pass HR only.

Wanted to talk about the 3 papers individually but now I'm too lazy to think about what to type and I figured that nobody would be interested to know. Hahaha.

Now I can't wait for my results to be released. I can be sure that I'll pass all but I want to know if I'm able to grab any As.

Next semester I really have to work harder, and start studying earlier than I did this semester. It's the last semester (wow a year has gone by just like that!) for my current diploma course and I really cannot afford (literally again) to fail because if I do, I'll have to say bye bye to my UOL BSc A&F for this year!

Can't believe I really kept my promise of not updating here for the period of my exams. I did have the urge to blog but I managed to stop myself! From today onwards, I can start blogging as and when I like again! There should be a new post coming these few days!
