Have a sweet nightmare (:

Bio-Oil.
BOO.
Have bought LOTS of makeup & skincare items recently and I've been loving them all! Shall slowly talk about them one by one! Today's "featured" product is Bio-Oil! What's written at the back of the box? Bio-Oil is a specialist skincare product formulated to help improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. Its unique formulation, which contains the breakthrough PurCellin Oil, is also highly effective for ageing and dehydrated skin.~ Vitamins A & E ~ Calendula, Lavender, Rosemary & Chamomile Oils ~ Face & Body ~ Non-greasy ~ Rapidly absorbed ~ Hypoallergenic ~ Suitable for sensitve skin Application: Apply twice daily for a minimum of 3 months. During pregnancy apply twice daily from the start of the second trimester. The actual product! I am only going to experiment with the 'Scars' & 'Dehydrated Skin' sections of its claims because these are the most obvious imperfections I have on my legs. Scaled these photos down on purpose so you don't lose your appetite! (Click-able thumbnails! If you are really THAT interested.) A very big patch of dehydrated skin on my leg. You can obviously see dry, flaky skin! The dry, flaky skin is moisturized! And still moisturized after a few hours. Skin condition looks better eh? I don't think I need to show a 'Before & After' comparison for this because it just looks the same. We shall wait (3 months) and see! So today morning was my first time using Bio-Oil. First thing I noticed was the floral scent, probably because it contains Calendula, Lavender, Rosemary & Chamomile Oils. The scent is not overwhelming, and it goes away after a while. I wouldn't say it's 100% non-greasy because my dehydrated patch of skin still feels a little greasy even after about 5 hours since application, which gives me a feeling that the oil isn't fully absorbed. Either that, or my dehydrated skin is rejecting Bio-Oil (LOL) because my Nivea Moisturizer does get absorbed. However, my 3D scar is showing different (I wouldn't call it 'results' since I am told to apply twice a day for a minimum of 3 months) reactions. The scar area isn't as greasy as the dehydrated area. Either the oil has been absorbed or I've accidentally rubbed the oil away! Okay this is my first experience with Bio-Oil. Since I need probably 3 months before I see results, I will not be updating on this too frequently. Maybe once every 2 weeks or 1 month! I think I sound skeptical about this product but I'm actually having high hopes for it. I'm expecting it to work! Labels: Bio-Oil Have a Sweet Nightmare (:
